Our produce isn’t what it used to be, since our farmland is losing its nutrients. Generations of farming that has employed sub-optimal methods, has resulted in America’s farming soil becoming weak. The soil is unable to hold the nutrients or even to hold adequate water, as compared to what it used to be able to hold. This is a problem not unique to America. This has also become a worldwide problem that the United Nations says is a “grave threat to human health”.
Soil experts are realizing that having bare soil between rows of crops increases topsoil erosion and mixes fertilizer and other chemical runoff into our water supplies.
The sad fact is that even if you eat all organic produce, it is still difficult to get all of the nutrition that you need today without supplements.
